IDONIKO TSIPOURO PLAIN (CSPC #724856) IDONIKO TSIPOURO ANISE (CSPC #724849) Following the time honoured Greek tradition of distillation, we have brought together the unrivaled recipes of the past and the facilities of the future to offer a unique tsipouro: Idoniko, named after the Hedones, the ancient inhabitants of the area. Tsipouro is a clear grape skin distillate, in effect of Greek version of Grappa. Production is done through multiple distillations in hand-crafted copper stills. The plain version is bottled at 42% alcohol by volume. The anise-flavoured version of the above is bottled at the slightly higher strength of 46% alc./vol., to prevent the aromatic anise oils from clouding the spirit.
